Issue-Based Workshop

Reviving Hope in Education (Learning Crisis)

According to the latest World Bank (WB) report on the quality of education in East Asia and the Pacific, with an alarming 91 percent “learning poverty” rate even with the return of face-to-face classes across the country. This workshop tackles the educational crisis in the Philippines, focusing on the challenges and systemic issues affecting learning outcomes. Participants will gain insights into current data, discuss practical solutions, and develop strategies to improve educational quality and equity across the nation.

Hope of Our Future (Leadership)

There is also a special need to accompany young men and women showing leadership potential, so that they can receive training and the necessary qualifications. (CV 245) Our encounter with the Lord and with each other has transformed us. We are not the same anymore because God has turned us into a “version 2.0” of ourselves and of our Church, and our acceptance of the synodal mission is the sign of our spiritual conversion. We are not just mga kamanlalakbay who have passively received the Good News. Gifted to give, we have become mga mamamalakaya ng tao, missionary disciples who are journeying together to “make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 27:19). To your mission, Lord, we give our “Yes!” Sana all! (Post Synodal Report)

Wishing True Love Upon a STAR (Family)

Discover the secrets to true love and lasting relationships in this dynamic, workshop designed for the youth. Based on the Teen STAR (USA) curriculum by Hannah Klaus, MD, we'll explore how to navigate the challenges of love, marriage, and family with confidence and wisdom. Join us to learn what it takes to build strong, fulfilling connections that stand the test of time!

Faith at Work (Young Adults)

Helping our Young Adults answer the challenge to let Christ define what it means to live a good life. In today’s world where influences in society and some elements of popular culture do not always support our Catholic values and where our beliefs and values are challenged, this track aims to help our Young Adult Catholics root their lives in something that gives them hope and conveys meaning anchored on their Catholic Faith. Recommended for Young Adults, Youth Leaders, Youth Ministers and Collaborators.

Young and Lonely (Mental Health)

Loneliness can affect not only mental but physical health. Last year, the World Health Organisation declared loneliness a global health threat, linked to a multitude of issues, from an increased risk of heart disease and stroke to anxiety and depression. The Philippines is deemed one of the world’s friendliest countries, and its people are known to have close family ties. Yet, according to a Meta-Gallup report published last year on the global state of social connections, the Philippines is the world’s second-loneliest country and the most lonesome in Southeast Asia. And it is the country’s Generation Z — born between 1997 and 2012 and the first generation to have fully grown up in the world of smartphones and social media — that experts say is one of the loneliest age groups.

Faith on Fire (Apologetics)

Based on the research entitled: Exploring Religious Conversion drivers and Their Gratification toward their new religion (J. Francisco, 2024, Central Luzon State University), one of the factors that affects religious conversion is insufficient knowledge about their old religion. Additionally, psycho-social and bio psycho-social factors such as love, self-esteem, and self-realization can also be a driver for religious conversion. The discussion will focus on youth being sacramentalized but not evangelized or the Common Misconception on the Catholic Church such as 1. Worshiping Mary and the Saints 2. The Church is authoritarian 3. The Catholic Church is not biblical.

Capacity Building Workshop

Stewardship, Fundsourcing and Linkages

Where do you source funds to support your youth ministry programs? What are the challenges you encounter in fundsourcing? Teaching young people about responsible financial management, fundsourcing, linkages, and stewardship in line with Christian principles

Catholic Events Organization (Organization and Management)

Do you design programs that respond to the needs of young people in your setting? What are the skills that you need to learn about conceptualizing a youth ministry program? What are the important elements that we need to consider when planning and designing a program?"

Hope Amplified: Creative Storytelling through new technologies

A study highlighted in a policy brief by De La Salle University-Adrienee Kaempfer Insights (AKI) noted that Filipino students show a strong preference for visual learning. The research suggested that visual learning methods, such as the use of multimedia and visual aids, are particularly effective in enhancing students' comprehension and retention of information (AKIEBS).

Facilitating Retreats and Recollection

This interactive workshop will help youth leaders, educators, and ministry volunteers learn essential skills for leading meaningful retreats and recollections for young people. It will cover designing themes, leading exercises, and creating a trusting environment. The workshop will also include planning and organizing retreats, time management, resource allocation, and group dynamics. Participants will leave with practical ideas to inspire and guide young individuals on their spiritual journeys, deepening their relationship with God and strengthening their faith communities.
