The Holy Father Pope Francis, through the Papal Bull of Indiction entitled “Spes non confundit,” proclaimed the Ordinary Jubilee Year 2025 and hopes that this Jubilee may be a “moment of genuine, personal encounter with the Lord Jesus, the ‘door’ (cf. Jn 10:7.9) of our salvation, whom the Church is charged to proclaim always, everywhere and to all as ‘our hope’ (1 Tim 1:1).” Pope Francis calls on all Christians to become pilgrims of hope – a virtue which must be sourced above all in the grace of God and in the fullness of His mercy.
This Jubilee Year 2025 is an opportunity of renewal in hope, especially after the pandemic and during this time of crises of peace.

In the Archdiocese of Manila, the framework below will be our guide for the local celebration and activities of the Jubilee Year to foster concrete expressions of hope and to ensure that the faithful may profoundly experience hope.
To encounter the Face of Hope who is Jesus Christ through various spiritual activities primarily through the Sacrament of Reconciliation, the Eucharist, and pilgrimage.
To nurture the understanding and experience of hope through formations, catechesis, retreats and recollections, and testimonies.
To share the hope we receive and become active agents of hope through concrete actions of charity, synodal accompaniment, and participation in the mission of evangelization.
